I work in clean energy, currently deploying behind-the-meter batteries at Peak Power. Before that, M&A and greenfield development at Boralex, and long-duration energy storage commercialization at Hydrostor. I occasionally write about the energy transition and other topics I find interesting.
Background
I've been working in clean energy since graduating from UBC in 2022. My first role was at Hydrostor, where I worked on commercializing compressed air energy storage, a long-duration technology that was still very much in the FOAK (first-of-a-kind) phase. That experience taught me more about the gap between a promising technology and a financeable project than anything I've read since.
From there, I moved to Boralex where I focused on M&A and greenfield development across utility-scale hydro, solar, wind, and BESS assets. I'm currently at Peak Power, deploying distributed energy resources for commercial and industrial customers.
Outside of work, I'm an IRONMAN triathlete, vegan cook, boulderer, and avid reader. Most of what ends up here sits somewhere between those things.
